Ashlee LaPine

Ashlee LaPine recently received her MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri Kansas City, where she also worked as acting and voice teacher and vocal and dialect coach.  At UMKC her roles included Heidi in The Heidi Chronicles, Ann in Goodnight Children Everywhere, Belinda Blair in Noises Off, Daphne in Present Laughter, Mrs. Squeamish in The Country Wife, and Portia in The Merchant of Venice. Most recently she has worked at The New Theater Restaurant starring in Lend Me a Tenor with Jamie Farr, Becky’s New Car with John Davidson, and Run for Your Wife with Garret Morris. At the Kansas City Repertory Theater she has performed in, A Christmas Carol, and as Helen White in Winesburg, Ohio. At the nationally recognized Coterie Theatre she played Emily in Our Town and Lady Macbeth in In Spite of Thunder. She has also worked consistently at the Pioneer Theater Company including productions of Beauty and the Beast, James Joyce’s the Dead, West Side Story and Evita. Other favorite credits include Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Anne in All My Sons, Lily in A Secret Garden, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Maria in West Side Story, Desdemona in Desdemona; A Play About a Handkerchief.  She is a private voice teacher and dialect coach and a proud member of The Actor’s Equity Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has worked on various television projects including ABC’s All My Children, Disney’s Halloween Town Witch University and various other projects.  She would like to thank her wonderful family and her dog Joy for their continual love and support.
